Whether you’ve been using a diffuser for years or have only just heard of them, we’ve created a list of tips to help you get the most out of your diffuser.
Intro to ultrasonic diffusers
Ultrasonic essential oil diffusers use silent and subtle ultrasonic vibrations to break apart essential oils and water, sending them into the air in a cool mist. They don’t utilize any heat or fans. The oils are rapidly evaporated through the tiny vibrations and sent into the air for maximum wellness.
Ultrasonic diffusers don’t change the fragrance of the oils. They merely dilute full-strength oils with water and send them out into the air so we are able to experience their unique aromatherapy benefits.
Choosing a spot for your diffuser
Choose an area in your space that is open and central- such as bedside, living room or hallway tables are great spots as they are typically open spaces which allow the mist to travel and reach more areas. We recommend keeping the diffuser away from direct sunlight, as that can affect the essential oils in the tank and the heat may have a negative impact on its longevity.
Cleaning your diffuser regularly
To keep your diffuser running properly and to increase its longevity, we recommend cleaning it regularly. Here are some easy cleaning steps to follow:
- Unplug the diffuser and remove any water left in the reservoir.
- Clean inside with a small brush or cloth and warm water.
- Rinse out and dry off.
- Use a small cotton swab tip dipped in vinegar to clean oil residue from the ultrasonic chip found in most water reservoirs.
- Let the diffuser air dry.
