Struggling With Hair Loss? We Have Some Suggestions That Might Help.

Hair growth tips and tricks seem to be everywhere these days. Just as there are many reasons for hair loss, there are about just as many remedies and suggestions that can help. We’ve compiled a list of things that are known to aid in and lessen further hair loss.

Head Massages

If you’ve ever been to a hair salon, you’ve experienced the relaxing sensation of a head massage. It may have been uncomfortable at first, maybe causing a tickling sensation for some and sending others to experience ultimate levels of relaxation. Despite your initial thoughts and feelings of head massages, beneath the surface, they are stretching the cells of hair follicles and potentially dilating blood vessels beneath the skin. This, in turn, stimulates the follicles to produce thicker hair and promote growth.

Of course, consistency is key, so to avoid frequent trips to the hair salon, we have the steps to perform your own head massages anytime and anywhere.

Use the fingertips of both hands to apply light to medium pressure to your scalp, moving in small circles.

Work your way across your scalp to cover all areas.

Try to massage your scalp using your fingertips for at least 5 minutes at a time, several times a day.

Massage your scalp in the shower with a gentle scalp massager tool after applying shampoo to build up a cleansing lather before rinsing after at least 5 minutes.

Hair Oils

There are many products on the market that boast of hair thickening and growth-boosting benefits. Many of those products are chemical based and can contain potentially harmful or damaging ingredients. We recommend using these 100% natural products to keep your head healthy from scalp to strand.

Rosehip Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Argan Oil are all nutrient-rich and deeply nourishing oils that repair, protect and strengthen hair while providing moisture to the scalp to help prevent dandruff.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are commonly used for therapeutic reasons from boosting mood to calming and increasing focus. A few essential oils are also known to help promote hair growth. Rosemary Oil, Peppermint Oil, Lavender Oil and Tea Tree Oil are all known for their scalp-stimulating and hair-boosting properties.

These oils must be diluted properly before being applied to any scalp or skin. We recommend diluting them in a carrier oil listed above for a DIY hair serum, which you can apply at night and massage before bed and then rinsing out in the morning. Alternatively, you can mix one or a combination of those essential oils into your shampoo and conditioner products. Just make sure your dilution ratio is a safe amount and that you mix the oils into the product thoroughly to ensure no irritation will occur when using.

Vitamins

Sometimes, hair loss can be due to a vitamin deficiency. Taking Iron, Zinc, vitamin B, and Biotin supplements can boost hair health and improve the loss being experienced.

In addition to these suggestions, it is also recommended you avoid washing your hair more than twice a week, only using natural shampoo and conditioners and using silk hair ties and pillowcases to reduce breakage.
