Globally, two-thirds of all children who are denied their basic right to education are girls. Think of all these girls would accomplish if this gap were narrowed. This International Women’s Day, Scentuals is proud to partner with One Girl Can to celebrate women’s achievements and raise awareness about women’s equality.
We are donating 15% of net proceeds from our Anti-Aging and Radiance Facial Collections on March 8 to One Girl Can to further their work towards a gender equal world.
All proceeds will go towards building a dormitory for Ushirika school in Kibera, one of the largest informal settlements in Africa. This dormitory will provide girls at the school a secure, comfortable place to live so that they don’t miss lessons because of lack of resources or other household obligations. It also provides safety during their journey home through the informal Kibera settlement.
